What is a lunar birthday?
A lunar birthday is calculated by the traditional Chinese lunar calendar rather than the Gregorian calendar. Because the two calendars are arranged differently, the same lunar birthday can map to different Gregorian dates each year.
What is the difference between a lunar birthday and a Gregorian birthday?
A Gregorian birthday is based on a fixed calendar date such as 1986-07-21. A lunar birthday is based on a Chinese lunar date such as Lunar June 15, so its matching Gregorian date usually changes each year.
What is a Ganzhi year?
A Ganzhi year is a traditional Chinese year name made from one Heavenly Stem and one Earthly Branch. There are 10 stems and 12 branches, forming 60 recurring combinations. For example, Bingyin Year combines Bing with Yin, and Yin maps to Tiger.
